Dr. Kimberly Couri was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and chemistry at the University of Illinois. She attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical training. She completed an internship at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois and her Family Practice Residency at Bon Secours Hospital in Gross Pointe, Michigan. She is board-certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Medicine.
During her medical career she has worked in Family Practice which included obstetrical care, taught residents in a residency program and practiced from 1989 until November 2015 in Urgent Care. After moving to Wisconsin in 2001, she obtained training in Natural Procreative (NaPro) Technology at the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction and Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2006 she joined Dr. R. Louise Smyth at the Ministry Fertility Care Center in Plover, Wisconsin. She is a certified Fertility Care Medical Consultant with the American Academy of Fertility Care Professionals. She continues to pursue further education in Functional Medicine.
While at Ministry Health Care she and Dr. Smyth integrated NaPro Technology and Functional Medicine to offer a comprehensive health plan that restores reproductive health, and manages menopausal health and general wellness. In November 2015, she and Dr. Smyth co-founded the Couri & Smyth Health for Life Medical Center which specializes in women’s health and general wellness.
Dr. Couri and her late husband, Dr. Thomas Connolly, have three daughters. She is active in her community and church. She enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors as well as traveling and horseback riding.
